SLO Rewriting/Revising for Middle School & High School. Middle School meets from 8:00am to 12:00pm, and High School meets from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on June 14. Join us as we decide what to do with current SLO tests as well as write writing rubrics for SLO tests next year.
De-Mystifying MasteryConnect for the Everyday English Teacher. Learn from two master secondary teachers who have been in the trenches and dug through the mire to figure out how to successfully use MasteryConnect and enjoy it! June 15, 8:00am-4:00pm $25 for .5 lane change credit, or inservice rate.
ACT/Utah Core Alignment. Open to all 9th - 11th grade teachers hoping to align their current Utah Core Standards curriculum with ACT Standards. June 21, 8:00am-3:00pm. Attendees will be paid at the inservice rate.
Assessment Design Workshop: Open to all content areas, July 6 & 7, 8:00am-4:00pm. This is a two-day, twelve-hour workshop intended to provide teachers with the basic tools of assessment design including: matching assessments to standards, defining constructs (skills and attributes), determining scope of the assessment, item design (including item roots and responses), and test equating. By the end of the workshop, teachers will have created an assessment that could viably be used as a summative or formative assessment for their own classroom or a pre- and post-test. Attendees will be paid at the inservice rate.
Depth of Knowledge: Depth of Knowledge (DOK) assures that your course and your assessments have rigor -- and that your students gain lasting understanding. This four--hour course will teach the basics of Depth of Knowledge and give you the tools to make your curriculum more rigorous. Participants should bring an assignment or assessment they would like to improve. It is also beneficial if you attend with a PLC colleague. Open to all subject areas. July 13, 8:00am-12:00pm. Attendees will be paid at the inservice rate.
